Art Residencies

²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ College supports students in art residencies across the country through various programs, whether during the summer between their junior and senior years at the College or after graduation. Fine Arts supports at least one rising senior each summer for a residency of their choice.

Yale Norfolk School of Art

Each year, the Department of Fine Arts supports one rising senior to attend the Yale Norfolk School of Art, a six-week undergraduate summer residency program in western Connecticut. The program follows the Yale College art curriculum, which includes Critical Studies, Advanced Image Making, and Senior Studio. If accepted, the residency is fully funded for the student.

Pilchuck Glass School

The College provides the opportunity for one rising senior in Fine Arts to attend a summer residency at Pilchuck in Seattle, Washington. Several different residencies are offered during the summer, and students can decide which is most interesting to them. Each of the residency options at Pilchuck is fully funded.

Chautauqua School of Art

Chautauqua offers two resident programs each summer: a two-week program and a six-week program. ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ College’s Fine Arts program supports its graduating students in applying for and attending residencies, which gives recent grads a place to continue immersing themselves in their art practice after graduation.

New York Academy of Art

²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ’s Fine Arts department has a long tradition of sending rising seniors to NYAA’s summer residency program for undergraduate students.
