Dear ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ Alumni,

I am honored to serve as ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ of the ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ Alumni Association. Our university is rapidly growing under the leadership of Dr. James Hurley and I couldn’t be more excited to work with our alumni in these unprecedented times. In the last three years we have shown the country that we are not only DI ready, we are making our mark. Our athletic programs are competing at a high level and we have shown time and again that our academic programs are among the best in the country. As a result of this, our enrollment numbers are at an all time high with one of the most diverse student groups in ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ History.

My ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ story began in the fall of 1989. I lived in Ferguson Hall and eventually moved over to the Co-Ed dorms where the Honors College is today. My experiences living on the ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ campus along with the friendships made have a tremendous impact on my life. I had the opportunity to serve as a Peer Advisor and as an officer in the TSU Plowboys. I graduated in December of 1995 with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Studies. I met my wife, Dr. Renee Petronis Warner, at ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ and she holds a Bachelors and a Doctoral degree from ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ. Our daughter, Briann Warner, is a Junior Biochemistry major and serves as a ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ Ambassador.

I encourage all alumni to become involved in the ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ Alumni Association. It is our duty to tell our ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ stories, keep our traditions alive and to give back when we can. Our membership dues go toward student scholarships and we currently offer 16 scholarships per year. Eight of the scholarships are designated as Legacy scholarships for TAA members who have children attending TSU. Our Alumni Association plays a key role in the growth of our University and we are committed to supporting our students, faculty and administration.

Sincerely,

Brian Warner, ’95 ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ,

²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ Alumni Association
